What does a School Counselor do?

Below you will find two videos that describe the role of the School Counselor in the school and how school counseling has evolved over the years as a profession. The position that was once (and is sometimes still) known as "Guidance Counselor" has morphed into "School Counselor" -- a role that focuses more on preventative strategies as opposed to only career planning or scheduling classes...take a look!
